What are personal data?
Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person — for example a name, e-mail address, personal identification code, IP address or online identifier. Information about how you use our website is also personal data.
Data we collect and why
1. Visiting the website
When you only browse publicly available information, you do not need to provide personal data. Your browser automatically sends technical data that we store in server logs, such as: IP address, date and time of the visit, browser type and version, operating system, the amount of data transferred, and the page you came from. We use this data to keep the site working correctly, detect and fix errors, and protect our systems against cyberattacks. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in a secure, functioning service.
2. Ordering services and your client account
When you order hosting, a domain or another service, or create a client account, we collect the data needed to provide it — such as your name, e-mail address, postal address, company name and registration/VAT number, and contact details. Legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legal obligations, e.g. accounting (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)). Required fields are marked; we collect only what is necessary for the service you choose.
3. Contacting us
If you contact us through a form, e-mail or support ticket, we use the data you provide solely to handle your request. This data is transmitted over an encrypted connection (TLS).
Payments
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (for example bank links). When you pay, you may be redirected to the provider’s environment. We do not collect or store your full card details, and this policy does not cover the processing carried out by those providers.
Recipients of your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary to provide the service or where required by law, for example with:
- domain registrars and registries, where domain registration requires it (including WHOIS data as mandated by the relevant registry);
- payment service providers, to process your payments;
- infrastructure and software providers that help us operate the service, acting as our processors under a data processing agreement;
- public authorities, where we are legally required to disclose data (e.g. lawful requests).
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union. Where a processor is involved, we ensure an adequate level of protection in line with the GDPR.
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, and in line with statutory retention periods (for example, accounting records must be retained for 7 years under Estonian law). When the retention period ends, data is deleted or anonymised.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. Personal data is transmitted in encrypted form.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- be informed about and obtain access to the personal data we process about you;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- have your data erased (“right to be forgotten”), where no overriding legal obligation applies;
- restrict or object to the processing of your data;
- receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (data portability);
- not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@digisoov.ee.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
Third-party links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please review their policies before providing any personal data.
Complaints
If you believe we have processed your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitseinspektsioon), info@aki.ee, www.aki.ee.
